Very quick to sign me up, poor service when I decided I wanted to cancel.

I went online to get a quote, got one, found it to be too expensive so opted out. The next day I got a phone call from a very persuasive lady and I ended up agreeing to it. That was ok......however......after some thinking I just decided there was no way I could afford that every month so tried to cancel. The woman who rang me in response to my email about cancellation spent 5 minutes trying to change my mind, then another 5 minutes wasting my time, then told me after all of that that I could not cancel my policy over the phone and would have to write to them. I got so annoyed that she had wasted already ten minutes of my time that I asked to speak to her supervisor, then all of a sudden I 'could' cancel over the phone but there was a chance that a payment would still be taken out on the 3rd of November because for some reason an EMAIL might take more than a WEEK to arrive at the Admin. section. This was the poorest service I have ever experienced and know for sure that down the track when I might be able to afford pet insurance, there is not a chance in hell I will be taking out a policy with RSPCA. And like I said to the woman who wasted my time on Friday, that if a payment does get taken out of my account, I will be contacting the Ombudsman.

The consultant was friendly and built a rapport with me easily. She had all my details in front of her from my online application. The only part I found frustrating was the ridiculously long and pointless reciting of ABN numbers and codes to the customer. I completely zoned out and it made the call excessively long.
