The policy I have since taken out has almost identical benefits with an annual limit $4000 higher than the RSPCA insurance. I'm afraid price won out. Interestingly I discovered the same insurance company appears to be underwriting all the pet insurance. It's a shame they haven't given the RSPCA the competitive edge in the marketplace.

The customer service officer called me while I was still looking at the policy online and pushed me to sign up even though I said I wanted to look around first. I have since cancelled the policy because I found a much cheaper policy with almost identical benefits. I would rather make a donation to the RSPCA directly as I discovered they only receive up to 10% of the premium anyway.
