RSPCA Futures Animal Carer’s Grant Program Winner — 2019

Congratulations Jessica, who is the winner of the 2019 RSPCA Pet Insurance Future Animal Carer’s Grant!

Jessica is a full-time student studying Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Melbourne.

At RSPCA Pet Insurance, we understand that qualified Veterinarians and Veterinary Nurses are essential in assisting with the protection and maintenance of your pet’s health. For that reason, we aim to provide support to people who are currently studying specific roles that are related to Veterinary Medicine, Animal Care and Animal Sciences by offering them the opportunity to submit applications to the RSPCA Pet Insurance Future Animal Carer’s Grant.

The Award

The value of this grant is AUD $5,000 (total amount). This amount is paid as a one-off payment to the winner.

The Challenge

Jessica is extremely passionate about the health and wellbeing of animals — dedicating her time to enriching their lives. During her seven years of study she has volunteered her time for countless animals in need, including; creating a pop-up clinic for An Indigenous Animal Health Project, cleaning horse stables, nursing exotic birds, and working as a vet student at a Pony Club — she has plans to travel more this year to support with the health care and de-sexing to stray animals in Indigenous communities.

Thank you & Congratulations

We congratulate Jessica and thank all of the applicants for their submissions and interest in the grant.

We have now started accepting applications for RSPCA Future Animal Carer’s Grant Program 2020. We welcome all students, who meet the eligibility criteria to apply for the 2020 grant. See full grant terms and conditions.

Good luck!
